With a world full of beautiful destinations, I’m often asked about my favorite cities. Whether it’s culture, scenic beauty, or food, Budapest is determined to top anyone’s travel list.

The reflection of city lights off the Danube River in Budapest is stunning.  Views of the Chain Bridge, Buda CastleHungarian Parliament, and St. Stephen's Basilica light up at nightfall.

Fisherman's Bastion sits atop Castle Hill and is my favorite place to take in the panorama views of the city. Gellért Hill, where the Citadel resides, also offers a spectacular 360-degree view.

One of the most iconic attractions, the Chain Bridge, draws visitors who travel the globe to walk across the bridge and enjoy a moment watching the boats drift lazily along the river. The Chain Bridge is the first bridge to connect Buda and Pest. During World War II, the bridge was severely damaged in the Battle of Budapest, in which the Soviet Union captured of the Hungarian capital. Today, the city is referred to as the "Pearl of the Danube”
